Hot, sizzling and more-hot are just a few words to describe HRH Tobi of UofA, the winner of the 2023 Mr Nuesa.
For many years, the Mr UNIABUJA contest has always been about biceps, six packs and a whole load of testosterone. A one-hit competition where the winner is declared after a few days of battle to get the most good looking. The 2024 Roots and Wings edition has launched in a new era of natural beauty.
Today, we'll be having a chat with the former Mr. Nuesa of UofA, HRH Tobi of UofA,the osun state born model and incoming Mr. UNIABUJA.
Q.Tell me about your journey to University of Abuja?
R. University of Abuja was a dream come true for me, the day I realized I’ve been given admission into the regular program of the university.
I’ve been a Student of this University since 2021 when I first applied for the Sandwich Program Of the University Studying Biology Education and Currently in 400L alongside with my regular program of Guidance and Counseling 200L.
The journey have never been an easy one but with the grace and help of God and my family, I’m doing perfectly well.
Q. The Nigerian modeling industry is more saturated now than when you started out with a lot of new models and new faces. How do you remain relevant as a model now that you have more people to compete with?
R. Yes, Self confidence and Esteem is the most important factor and aspect of my life. I hardly get inferior of anything irrespective of the difference between me and my contestants. Pageantry part of modelling is well known for its competitiveness which many models are usually scared of…. But I OLUWATOBI I’ll go down to the stage and compete with them and accept the result life brings to me.
Q. What has your experience been like, during this your reign as Mr. Nuesa?
R. My experience during my reign as Mr NUESA, all i can say is everything is all good and pleasant
Now I see life differently from how I see it before
Being a ROYALTY feels so good I must say…
The fame that comes with it, the name, the Sash, the respect and so many side advantages to me which will serve as a step up for me in the nearest future makes me smile and happy whenever I remember the day I decided to apply for this.
It’s worth the stress.
Q. A Peek into the world of HRH Tobi,
Why did you choose to study Guidance and counselling?
R. Guidance And Counseling is not what I actually applied for in Jamb, but school changed my course due to some deficiencies in my jamb combination, but trust me… I Love the Course now.
Q. When you were younger, what did you dream of becoming in future?
R. My ambition was to become a School Proprietor And Own A Model Fashion House.
Yes, I’m still on track.
Q. Where did you grow up and what is your family like?
R. I grew up with my Family. My Mom, My Dad and Siblings. I’m not from a wealthy family but I get everything I wants. And thats my own definition of Wealth.
Q. What is your definition of a beautiful woman?
R. A Beautiful Woman is that who sees a future ahead of her where others only see Marriage and End up In the kitchen.
A woman who knows her worth, her standards and Self respect.
Q. So, who is the beautiful woman in your life?
R. For now, My Mom is the beautiful Woman in my life.
Q. AWWWN, you must be a momma's boy
You have a physique that most guys would envy. What do you do to keep fit?
R. Talking about Physique, I’m not into body building… this is my real body without any form of workouts or body fitness.
Well I eat alot and I guess that’s one of the reasons behind it.
Q. What is your own fashion style like? What informs your choice of dressing?
R. My Fashion style, Simplicity is my favorite thing, I dress simple and moderately. And when I dress well and appropriately I’ll know
Q.Tell me about your most embarrassing moment
R. My most embarrassing moments, If I could remember was the day I dislocated my arm, a girl was asked to help me fix it, she was fixing the arm and I was crying, I felt so embarrassed that day, people where laughing at me.
Q. What was your most romantic date?
R. The day I went on a date with my first love, at Jabi Lake when the love was so strong and affectionate then.
Q. What do you want to be remembered with?
R. The first Yoruba boy to be the Mr NUESA without a bad record in the school.
Q.Why didn't you contest for the Mr. Uniabuja 2023 edition?
R. 14. Why didn’t I contest for Mr UniAbuja 2023
I couldn’t because I already applied for the FACE OF FACULTY and I planed to use that as a step upward like picking it one step at a time.

Q. Wow! this is getting more interesting, Mr Nuesa 2023 & Mr Uniabuja 2024,surely, Que sera sera, so what would you do if you become the Mr. Uniabuja?
R. If I’m privileged to become the MR UNIABUJA 2024 it would be an incredible honor, and with it, I would strive to make a positive impact on our university.
I’ll try all my possible best to support the members of the union government to serve what I’m supposed.

Q. We've heard about your philanthropic works that always targets the children, can you tell us more?
R. For the purpose of making the younger generation to appreciate the importance of being aware and in control of their mental health, I've christened my leisure time into this episode "Tobi and the sound future"
