JUST IN: Comr. AY And Miss Taiwo Takes A Bow, Just Few Hours After Graduation

Barely 24-hours from his sign-out, Hon. Inaolaji Ayomide; a graduate of statistics alongside Miss Taiwo a graduate from Agricultural extention has lost their life in a tragic motorcycle accident. 

The accident occurred along Giri - Anagada federal Road, while they were both enroute on a motorcycle. 

This is truly a tragedy for the Students Union Government as Hon. AY as he is fondly called is an infectious smiling honourable member that represented the faculty of science in the Students Union Government of the 8th Assembly and his indelible imprints are not easy to be forgotten in a jiffy.

We are absolutely devastated by the sudden and tragic death of Hon. AY.  We heard the news literally few hours after we met at his sign-out.

Sadly we never did get to speak again. I had only known AY for a few years but had been inspired by his absolute commitment, his grasp of selfless students leadership and his ability to explain complex ideas in easily understood and concise ways. But more than that I liked and respected Hon. AY the man- his humanity, sense of humour, love of his family and love of his class.

Talking politics with Hon. AY was always a pleasure for you knew that he had thought about ideas and about life, and his conversations always left me with something extra to think about.

May I send my condolences first to his his family circle, all who knew and loved and respected Hon. AY and of course to all his comrades in FOSSA and in the SUG. At times like this words seem inadequate to convey the sense of loss.

We have lost a comrade and friend. May his spirit live on in the struggles of the world working class and his heart rest easy in his beloved.
