A 100-Level student of Strategic communications dies barely 5days from his matriculation.

A 100-Level student of The University of Abuja, has died, just barely 5days from his matriculation. The student, identified as Yakubu Joshua in the Department of Strategic communications, died at the university’s University of Abuja Teaching hospital Gwagwalada.

“All attempts by the medical team, led by the Chief Medical Director, to revive him from the acute kidney injury attack failed and was pronounced dead, by 1:00am, today.

His roommate, Opara Daniel brought him to the hospital on Friday after he fell ill, and also contacted his kinsman in school, Cloche John Oloche, a 500level medical student of our institution.

"We've contacted the parents, and we'll soon be leaving for Benue state this morning with his body" said Oloche John when contacted by our news men.

“Our thoughts are with the parents of the late student as well as the Head of Department, Students of the Department of Strategic communications and the students union government.

“We pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of our student and extend our most sincere condolences to the parents and pray God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
