UofA Students Demands Our CNG Buses: An Open Letter To President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
To the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Your Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
We, the Students' of the prestigious University of Abuja, write to respectfully demand the immediate disbursement of our CNG buses and keke for inter-campus transportation.
As you are aware, we have demonstrated maturity and cooperation by boycotting all purported protests, ensuring peaceful academic activities on campus. We believe this gesture warrants reciprocal action from your administration.
We have shown our solidarity with your administration by boycotting the opposition sponsored protest, which they use want to use our students to achieve, knowing that the university of Abuja houses over 73.3% of the youths living in Abuja.
Moreover, as Washington Dc is to Potus, and as the Birmingham is to the throne of England, so is Abuja to you, Mr. president, and the change that must come to Nigeria must begin with us.
As a member representing 93.3% of the students voice in the students union government of the University of Abuja, we've been under pressure of hijack by external forces who wants to spoil your administration with protest and antagonistic criticism. For as American as apple pie and as English as afternoon tea, so as Nigerian opposition as protest and hijacking of students union, but regardless of their juicy lobby, our center still thus hold, as our students still respect and prays for the success of your government.
Our Demands:
In leu of our collaborative efforts to drive the Renewed Hope administration to the peak, we demand the following;
● Immediate release and disbursement of CNG buses and tricycles (keke) for our inter-campus movement.
These buses will serve great purposes as we have two campuses and we the students move everyday just to receive lectures.
Rationale behind this demand:
1. Enhanced student mobility and accessibility.
2. Improved academic productivity and performance.
3. Reduced transportation costs and financial burdens on students.
We Urge:
Your prompt attention to this matter, ensuring timely disbursement of the buses and the implementation of our demands.
We believe that one good turn deserves another, for we've fought with you to maintain our nations democracy, and now we solicit that your administration also assist us for our education is yet under attack.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Signed,
Hon. UTOH, Donald Ifesinachi
