Catch Them Young: Why the University of Abuja Should be the Hub of Sports Development

Folks, let's talk about the future of sports in Nigeria. With the recent appointment of Alhaji Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, there's a renewed sense of hope for the sector. And I've got to say, their plans to reform the sports sector are music to my ears.

Now, I know what you're thinking - where do we start? Well, I've got a suggestion for the Chairman. Why not start with the University of Abuja sports community? I mean, think about it - these are the future leaders of Nigeria, and what better way to catch them young than to develop their sporting talents?

The University of Abuja is already known as the University of National Unity, so why not use sports as a way to bring people together? It's a no-brainer, folks. By investing in the university's sports community, we can start to build a culture of excellence that will trickle down to the rest of the country.

And let's not forget, the President is fully behind this initiative, with a focus on private sector participation and incentives. So, Chairman Dikko, I urge you to take the lead on this one. Let's make the University of Abuja the hub of sports development in Nigeria. It's time to bring unity and excellence to our sports sector, and it starts with our young people.
