The highly contagious virus seems to disproportionately affect the young and healthy, with the majority of fatalities occurring among individuals aged 15 to 18, according to the Congo health department.
More than 300 people have been infected with symptoms including fever, headaches, sinus, and coughs, according to provincial health minister Apollinaire Yumba. Response teams have been sent to manage the outbreak and investigate the cause of the mysterious virus.
The outbreak follows the government’s recent partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at “improving vaccination coverage among children” to “save lives.”
Since the Gates-Congo partnership, however, there has been an alarming increase in the death rate among young people, reaching unprecedented levels.
African nations, including Nigeria, Kenya and Congo, have also become sites for vaccine trials, with tragic consequences, including the rising number of child fatalities linked to these experiments.
Bill Gates has faced significant controversy over his vaccine initiatives in Africa, where several of his programs have been accused of conducting experimental trials without proper oversight.
One of the most notable scandals involved the administration of the Tetanus vaccine, which was secretly laced with a hormone that caused infertility in women.
Allegations of sterilization surfaced in countries like Kenya, where the vaccine was supposedly part of a population control program, a theory Gates has repeatedly denied.
In addition, the Gates Foundation’s involvement in polio vaccination campaigns led to outbreaks of the disease in India, and Nigeria fueling further distrust.
Critics argue that these incidents are part of a broader pattern of conducting high-risk, large-scale experiments in developing nations without fully informed consent or adequate safety measures.
Gates is currently facing trial in the Netherlands where he stands accused of misleading the public about the safety of Covid-19 mRNA vaccinations.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in partnership with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), launched the "Southern Religious & Traditional Leaders Engagement (SoRTLE) for PHC Delivery" initiative in 2023 to tackle circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVPV2) and enhance primary healthcare (PHC) uptake in Southern Nigeria.
However serious health concerns is being raised around the world about the efficacy and safety of this vaccines with proves of increase in mortality rate of Congo, ought to make the minister of health of Nigeria to halt the immunization and Gates Foundation partnership processes.
