In a world where women are often underrepresented in male-dominated industries, Bilkisu Usman Dahiru (Mc Billy Choko) is paving her own path as a charismatic and confident MC. This University of Abuja graduate is shattering stereotypes and inspiring others to do the same.

A microbiology graduate with a passion for sports and public speaking, Bilkisu has always been confident in her abilities. Standing at six feet tall with a commanding presence, she thrives on stage, where she feels most comfortable expressing herself.

"I've always been confident in my abilities, especially when it comes to public speaking. Although I may not be as bold in private, I thrive on stage, where I feel most comfortable expressing myself,"she said.

Bilkisu's journey as an MC began in an institution dominated by male entertainers. Despite the challenges, she drew on her past experiences as a prefect in primary and secondary school, where she would conduct assemblies for over a thousand students.
"Yeah, I won't lie, it was challenging to break into the scene, especially with more famous and active entertainers already established"

With time, she gained confidence and experience, hosting smaller events outside of school and eventually participating in hosting pageantries and events within the university.
I remember starting from my 200-level, and slowly but surely, I made a name for myself as a capable and charismatic host.

When it comes to stereotypes, Bilkisu approaches the industry with an open mind. She expects challenges and is prepared to face them head-on. By doing so, she has been able to overcome any potential stereotypes and focus on developing her skills and building her brand.
"I believe that erm, having a positive attitude and being open to learning and growth has helped me navigate the industry and achieve my goals."

Bilkisu's positive attitude and openness to learning and growth have helped her navigate the industry and achieve her goals. She is passionate about inspiring and empowering others, especially young women, to pursue their dreams and overcome any obstacles that may come their way.
"I love to invite people to life changing opportunities when i see one, especially young women, to pursue their dreams and overcome any obstacles that may come their way"

Bilkisu's favorite quote, "Believe you can and you're halfway there" by Theodore Roosevelt, reminds her to always have faith in herself and her abilities. To girls who want to follow in her footsteps but may be hesitant, she offers words of encouragement: "Don't be afraid to take the leap and pursue your passions. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Surround yourself with supportive people, work hard, and always believe in yourself."
As Bilkisu continues to break stereotypes and achieve success, she remains committed to empowering others and creating opportunities. Her story is a testament to the power of confidence, hard work, and determination.
