DEBUNKING THE RUMOR: SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON THE RECENT STUDENT DEATH

A rumor has been circulating around the school that a biology student and asthma patient fell down in the theatre hall due to congestion and subsequently passed away. However, a recent investigation by Noelsa Blog has revealed that this rumor is entirely false.

Contrary to the rumor, the student who sadly passed away was actually a sickle cell patient and a 100-level biology student who resided in the New Girls' Hostel. According to her roommate, the student often slept during the day, which was a common occurrence due to her health condition.

Tragically, the student's life came to an end while she was sleeping. Her roommate narrated the events surrounding her death: "She was sleeping, and we thought she was just resting. But when she didn't wake up for a long time, we started to get worried. It wasn't until the cleaner came into the room that we noticed something was terribly wrong. The cleaner saw foam in her mouth, and that's when we realized she was in trouble. We rushed her to the clinic, but unfortunately, she was already gone."

What is alarming, however, is the lack of awareness and communication among the school authorities, student union, and hostel management regarding the student's passing. It has come to our attention that most of the students living in the hostel, were not even aware of the student's death, and the department of biology has not made any official statement or acknowledgment of the student's passing.

This lack of communication and awareness highlights a glaring lacuna in the student union's response to student welfare. It is unacceptable that a student who has been dues to the student union can pass away without anyone noticing or taking action.

We urge the student union, and faculty of science association and the department of biology students association to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that students' welfare and safety are given the utmost priority.
