On the 1st of February 2025, Project Hope University of Abuja, under the dynamic leadership of Hikmat Harona, Director of Missions and Executive Lead, embarked on a groundbreaking initiative - the February Clean and Fit Frenzy!
The event kicked off with a high-energy workout session led by the Naija core team followed by a rejuvenating mental health talk that encouraged participants to reflect on their wellbeing. The atmosphere was electric, with students laughing, sweating, and bonding over their shared passion for a cleaner, greener campus.
But the real magic happened when the team took to the Convocation Ground, armed with trash bags and a determination to make a difference. (this was a collaborative effort between project Hope and ploggers club NG) From the main grounds to the shops and beyond, Project Hope members worked tirelessly to collect waste and leave the area spotless. COLLECTING A WHOOPING 26KG OF WASTE.

As the saying goes, "the best work in life is the work that doesn't pay." But for Project Hope, the reward lies not in monetary gain, but in the knowledge that their efforts will contribute to a healthier, more sustainable environment for all students.

Climate change is real, and it's up to us to take action. As the renowned environmentalist, Greta Thunberg, once said, "The climate crisis has been solved by you and me. All we have to do is to start acting on it."

Project Hope University of Abuja is proud to be at the forefront of this movement, advocating for climate change awareness and sustainable development goals (SDGs). We believe that by working together, we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.

So, let's bid farewell to pollution, waste, and neglect! Join Project Hope University of Abuja in our quest for a cleaner, greener UniAbuja!

Together, we can make a difference!
