Transition of Power: Professor Aisha Maikudi's Emotional Farewell to University of Abuja

University of Abuja's former Vice Chancellor, Professor Aisha Maikudi, has urged students and staff to move forward from her removal, emphasizing that leadership is transient and ultimately determined by God. Her emotional address came as many students and staff members were seen crying and wailing, mourning the loss of a leader who had uniquely connected with them.

Professor Maikudi's tenure was marked by her exceptional communication skills, taking the time to physically interface with students and ensuring their voices were heard. Her departure has left a void, with many wondering when they will find another leader like her.

In her statement, Professor Maikudi reminded everyone that "power belongs to Allah," and that her removal was not a personal loss, but rather a transition. She encouraged students and staff to remain steadfast, focus on their jobs, and prioritize the academy.
