A veterinary graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Dr. Idoko has carved a distinguished path in academia and clinical pathology, making him an ideal candidate to oversee the welfare and development of the university’s student body.
Currently an academic staff member in the Department of Veterinary Pathology and Head of the Laboratory Medicine Unit at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Abuja, Dr. Idoko’s career is marked by a series of notable achievements. After earning his MSc in Veterinary Pathology (Clinical Pathology) in 2015 from Ahmadu Bello University, he immediately pursued a doctorate in the same field, showcasing his relentless pursuit of knowledge. His early recognition as a 2010 fellow of the Toxicology and Drug Development Internship, a collaboration between the Africa Education Initiative (Mystic, USA) and the National Veterinary Research Institute in Vom, Nigeria, highlighted his potential as a leader in scientific research and education.
Dr. Idoko’s teaching experience further solidifies his credentials. Between January 5 and August 24, 2015, he taught pathology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, before transferring to the University of Abuja. There, he has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of professionals, delivering courses in Clinical Pathology, General Pathology, Systemic Pathology, and Pathology of Tropical Diseases. His ability to distill complex subjects into accessible lessons has earned him respect among students and colleagues alike.
