The Federal Ministry of Education has launched the 2025 Federal Government Bursary Award, a financial aid program designed to support qualified
Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions. The initiative, administered through the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB), offers an annual cash grant of ₦150,000 to eligible undergraduates studying education at universities and colleges of education across the country.
The Education Bursary Award (EBA) targets full-time students in their second year or above, with a commitment to inclusivity by ensuring students with disabilities are encouraged to apply. The renewable grant will support recipients until they complete their studies, provided they maintain eligibility.
Eligibility and Requirements
To qualify for the 2025 FSB Bursary Award, applicants must:
Be registered full-time students in education programs at Nigerian public universities or colleges of education.
Be in their second year of study or higher.
Not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship program.
Required documents include a letter of admission, state of origin certificate, National Identity Number, and an academic transcript reflecting the applicant’s cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
