TOBI, A SHINING LIGHT FROM THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA.

On the evening of Sunday the 16th of November 2025, the news of Tobi's victory as the 2025 Mr institution broke to the university community. 

The Faculty of Education, University of Abuja,  beamed with pride as one of its own, Samuel Oluwatobi who currently serves as Mr UNIABUJA , emerged victorious as Mr. Institution. This outstanding achievement is a testament to Tobi's unwavering dedication, resilience, and passion for pageantry.

Tobi's journey to the top was not an easy one. He first emerged as Mr. NUESA at the Faculty level, followed by Mr. University of Abuja, and now, Mr. Institution. His remarkable feat is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

The President of the Faculty of Education,  University of Abuja, Comr. Deme congratulated Tobi on his win, praising his resilience and dedication to pursuing his passion. He also encouraged him to use his influence to mentor younger students, sharing his experiences and expertise to help shape their own paths.

Tobi's achievement is not only a reflection of his individual excellence but also a testament to the Faculty of Education's commitment to nurturing talents and promoting excellence. We are proud of Tobi and look forward to seeing his continued success.

Tobi did share with us the down moments he had during his journey, the nights of tears, the feeling to give up and back out and thoughts of discouragement. 

Yet, he was determined because he believed he was an inspiration to others who are looking up to him . And just like the theme of this year's pageant " The Power of Doings" he was determined to show the " doings"  of a student of the university of National unity. 

One of Tobi's greatest fear also was the fact that the host institution had a contestant as well, but faith, hope and determination kept him going and God made it possible. 

Samuel O. Oluwatobi is a final year student of the Department of Guidance and Counselling in the Faculty of Education, University of Abuja Nigeria who is loved and cherished by his Coursemates, Faculty and University community. He brings light and warmth to every space.
