All roads, today, lead to the indoor theatre hall,mini Campus, University of Abuja. The event is the Nupe-Day in Campus to celebrate the end of a charismatic gentleman to the throne of the outgoing number one Nupe citizen in Uniabuja; the most cosmopolitan of all the Nupe-speaking emirates in the University of Abuja and the Nupe Cultural Day themed EGWA FI YA YEGBOROLO.
Today’s event officially commenced after the well documented welcome address of the Etsu of Nupe in Uniabuja HRH/Comr. Jibril Shaibu (Jibson),
this would be closely followed by a brief history of Nupe and Titles (Tici) in Nupe Emirate by the Sodangi Nupe of Tunga maje (Muhammad Lima Adams)
An intriguing aspect of the introductory message is the story of how sacred the Office of the Etsu is in the Nupe Dynasty, citing how Late Etsu Abubakar resisted British colonization of the political integrity of his community, Bida Emirate.
A lecture delivered by Mrs Grace T. a lecturer in College of Education (HOD, Computer Department) on Skill acquisition.
A leader (Dr. Mandzuma Ndaaba) was also heavily represented by Mallam Sadiq Abubakar he did justice to a topic titled "Sticking a Balance between Academics and Students Politics"
Nupe cultural foods (Eje jekafa, zowa, kunu banga, eje ikuru) was also displayed and how they are prepared this was done by the Directress of Social Comr. Alhassan Zainab a student of the Univertsity from Islamic Studies Department, Cultural Dance, drama and lots more was played to entertain the dignitaries that attended the event.
In attendance were so many dignitaries including the Univertsity Registrar heavily represented by Engr. Yusuf of Engineering Department, Univertsity of Abuja.
