BREAKING: SSANU AND NASU warning strike paralyses activities in the University of Abuja.

THE national warning strike called by the Senior staff association of Nigeria universities(SSANU),and Non academic staff union (NASU) has recorded a huge success in mini campus axis of the University of Abuja, Abuja as the intra school shuttle operations were grounded by the union, recording a full compliance from the UofA chapter of the union.
Students were sighted stranded at the entrance gates to the mini campus while some students who already queued for the shuttle as usual were not given attention to.
A non academic staff who spoke at anonymity who explained to the students that activities wouldn't be as usual because of the strike said that the strike embarked upon by joint members of SSANU and NASU,is a sign of a failed system. The federal government has failed the implement their policies and pay the union as agreed.
Some students expressed their frustration as they have test today,a 200level student of mechanical engineering, Francis Anekwe,said
"I have test today,and a few student who are in the permanent site are already in class for the test, please the student union government,should plead with the lecturers so that we can write." he said.
Another 200level political science student, Stacy said "Only the rich kids are booking bolt and Uber ride,and me I can't afford to miss my test but I don't have that much money"
"Looking at the unprecedented predicament faced by student on the first day of this strike, we plead with the federal government to keep to their words and fulfil their agreement with SSANU and NASU so as to end this scene"an anonymous student leader added.
