PROFESSOR AISHA SANI MAIKUDI, ACTING VC UofA PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH AN UPDATE ON THE TWO CRITICAL ISSUES AFFECTING STUDENTS
Dear Students,

I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to provide you with an important update regarding two critical issues that are currently affecting our university community: the ongoing strike by some members of ASUU and the intermittent electricity supply.

The university administration understands the disruption and inconvenience these issues have caused and concrete steps are being taken to address them.

1. ASUU Strike: The university leadership wants to assure you that the newly inaugurated council and university leadership are fully committed to resolving this issue. We are actively engaging with all relevant stakeholders to negotiate and find a resolution. Our goal is to ensure that academic activities for all students can resume as soon as possible, and we are making every effort to expedite this process.

2. Electricity Supply: Management recognizes the significant impact that the lack of reliable electricity has on your studies and daily life on campus. Please be assured that we are prioritizing the restoration of a reliable power supply, and are working diligently to restore consistent power supply. Specific measures are being implemented to resolve this issue at the earliest possible time.

Your patience and understanding during this challenging period are greatly appreciated. We are committed to keeping you informed of our progress and any new developments.

Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,

Aisha.
Aisha Sani Maikudi, Ph.D
