NELFUND Rolls Out Student Loan Disbursements to University of Abuja Applicants

In a significant move to support education, NELFUND has begun disbursing student loans to University of Abuja applicants, fulfilling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration promise to ease the financial burden on students .

The disbursement, which commenced on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, is part of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund's (NELFUND) efforts to provide financial assistance to deserving students. This initiative is a testament to President Tinubu's commitment to repositioning education in Nigeria.

Key Highlights of the Disbursement

- Batch Disbursement: Loans are being disbursed in batches, so applicants are advised not to worry if they haven't received their funds yet ².

- Eligibility: Students who applied for the loan between May 24 and July 17, 2024, and had their applications approved, are eligible for the disbursement .

- Transparency: NELFUND assures that every approved loan will be disbursed transparently and in a timely manner.

Encouragement to Students

Students are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to balance their finances and pay their fees. Those who haven't applied yet are urged to do so, as the loan scheme is designed to support indigent students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
