The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has elected new leaders, marking a significant milestone in the organization's history. Comrade Olushola Oladoja, a postgraduate student from the University of Jos, has emerged as the new President of NANS, polling 300 votes in a keenly contested election.

Oladoja's victory is seen as a testament to his dedication to the student community, and his commitment to advocating for their rights and welfare. His leadership is expected to bring about positive change and progress within NANS.
In addition to Oladoja's election, Comrade Anzaku Shedrack, the University of Abuja ticket, has been elected as the new Secretary-General of NANS. Shedrack's victory is a significant achievement, and his leadership is expected to complement Oladoja's vision for NANS.

The election, which took place at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja, was described as "free, fair, and credible" by participants. The convention was attended by over 358 Senators (Students' Union Government Presidents) from tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The delegates who participated in the election have been commended for heeding the plea of the students and electing a capable team to lead NANS. As the new administration takes office, they have been wished well in their endeavors to promote the welfare and interests of Nigerian students.

With the election of Oladoja and Shedrack, NANS is poised for a new era of leadership and growth. The student community looks forward to seeing the positive impact of their leadership in the days to come.
