University of Abuja Set to Host White Coat Ceremony as Acting Vice Chancellor Makes Debut

In a significant event, the University of Abuja is gearing up to host the White Coat Ceremony for the 2023/2024 veterinary graduates tomorrow at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This momentous occasion marks the first major event under the leadership of the new Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Manko Lar.

The ceremony, themed "Veterinary Education: Promoting One Health and Sustainable Development Goals," will feature Hon. Idris Abiola Ajimobi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development, as the keynote speaker. The event is scheduled to take place at the Faculty of Management Sciences Lecture Theatre at 11:00 a.m. prompt.

Prof. Siman Ikechukwu Enem, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, will host the event, while AIG Dr. Aisha Abubakar Baju, President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, will co-host. The ceremony will also be attended by special guests, including Alh. Idi Mukhtar, Minister of Livestock Development, and Dr. Aliyu S. Abdullahi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security.

This event marks an important milestone for the University of Abuja, as it continues to promote excellence in veterinary education and research. Under the leadership of Prof. Lar, the university is poised to achieve greater heights in academic and professional pursuits.
