In a shocking turn of events, the Faculty of Management Sciences has handed the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine a crushing 4-1 defeat in the second match of the University of Abuja Student Union Government Cup 2025. This humiliating loss is a stark reminder that one cannot excel in every field, as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine's prowess in animal care did not translate to success on the football pitch.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, boasting the presidency of the Student Union Government, was expected to put up a strong fight. However, their lack of football skills was exposed by the Faculty of Management Sciences, who demonstrated their expertise in "managing the affairs of the pitch."

Honourable Dr. Abrafas Yunana, member representing the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the SA to the Governor of Adamawa State, conceded defeat, stating, "My people don't know how to play football, but we're good at giving injections to animals." This candid admission underscores the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine's limitations in football and highlights the Faculty of Management Sciences' superiority in this realm.

However, the most striking aspect of this match is the deafening silence from the SUG President, Hon. Dr. Bashir Muhammad. Despite the controversy surrounding the match, including allegations of biased refereeing and the Faculty of Law's threat to take the Faculty of Education to court, the SUG President has not made a single statement.

This silence has raised strong questions about the university committee's unity and the SUG President's stance on the matter. Has he accepted the Faculty of Education's victory in good faith, or is he planning to take a cue from the Faculty of Law and head to court? Or is he simply still in shock? The university community remains in the dark, awaiting a statement from the SUG President.

As the SUG Cup 2025 continues, one thing is certain: the Faculty of Management Sciences has proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with on the football pitch. Will the SUG President's silence be broken, and if so, what will his statement reveal? Only time will tell.
