In today’s global X Space hangout tagged “TT: Chicago & Portland,” President Donald J. Trump addressed a range of international and domestic issues, including the alleged ongoing genocide in Nigeria.

During the media session, Oba Donald Ifesinachi Udoka, a representative of the Nigerian Media, asked the former U.S. President how his administration intends to respond to the violence and religious persecution in Nigeria while staying true to America’s 1776 founding values of free speech and freedom of religion.

In his response, President Trump expressed gratitude to the Nigerian journalist for raising what he described as “a very serious and heartfelt question.” He reaffirmed his admiration for the Nigerian people and particularly commended the journalist for his boldness and patriotism.

"What's happening in Nigeria is disgrace,  Trump said".

“I have tremendous love for Nigeria and its great people,” Trump said. “We’re watching very closely what’s going on there. We will respond decisively, very soon, because America must always stand for freedom and faith.”

President Trump also took a moment to thank Donald Udoka for what he called “his unwavering support for the MAGA movement in Nigeria,” acknowledging the growing influence of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) ideology beyond the United States.

The conversation, which attracted international journalists and policy analysts, is being seen as a signal that Trump’s foreign policy outlook—may include stronger positions on global human rights and religious freedom.

Observers note that Trump’s response could mark the beginning of renewed U.S. attention toward the ongoing violence in parts of Nigeria, especially as concerns grow about terrorism and minority persecution.

The X Space hangout “TT: Chicago & Portland” trended globally, drawing millions of listeners across continents, with Nigeria ranking among the top participating countries.
