SUG University of Abuja Confirms Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide, Esq. as Legal Adviser

Abuja, Nigeria – September 18th, 2025

The Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Abuja, has officially confirmed Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide, Esq. as the new Legal Adviser of the Union.

The confirmation came on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, after the Students’ Senate approved the nomination, which was earlier forwarded by the Executive Council. With this approval, Mr. Ogunjide is entrusted with the duty of providing sound legal counsel and guidance to the Union, in accordance with the provisions of the SUG Constitution.

Mr. Ogunjide, Principal Partner at Dignus Chambers, is a seasoned and highly respected legal practitioner. Comprehensive background checks by the Union affirm his competence, integrity, and professional expertise to effectively steer the Union’s legal affairs.

In line with constitutional provisions, the tenure of office for the Legal Adviser shall be two (2) Union Administrative Years.
