NUESA EXECUTIVE VISITS CCSC OF THE UNIVERSITY - CALLS ON ALL FACULTIES TO COLLABORATE WITH THE CENTER

A team of selected NUESA executive members paid a visit to the University of Abuja Career and Counselling Services Center. The team was warmly received by the Center's Director, Prof. Patricia Ojiah, Deputy Director, Dr. MB Usman and a staff member at the center. 

The meeting aimed at building collaboration and strengthening ties between the Student leaders and the Center, for the Mental, Academic, Career and Personal-social welfare of the students of the Faculty of Education. 

The Deputy Director, Dr. MB Usman stated the important role that student leaders can play to help them achieve their mandate since they are closest to the students. 

Some of these roles includes creating of awareness and enlightening the students of the Center's services and also making referrals of identified cases that needs intervention. 

The Director in her remarks appreciated the student leaders for making it a date with the center and reiterated the Center's commitment towards students overall well-being. She added that the Center is wide open to attend to student's Academic, Career and Personal social concerns. She also emphasized on the Center's willingness to collaborate with Student Union especially during the Freshmen Orientation exercise and follow-up services. 

Finally, the student leaders assured the management of their willingness to collaborate, cooperate and partner with the center adding that the awareness will not only be for Faculty of Education but will reach all Faculties and Departments for greater reach of our student population in the university community. 

NUESA is therefore, calling on Faculties, Departments and Associations to utilize the services of the Center which promises great impact on students. 

The Center has functioning Offices at the Faculty of Education and University Library both on the Main campus of the University.
