NUESA VISITS UNIVERSITY HEAD OF TRANSPORTATION.

Today, the NUESA President led a Delegation to the university's Directorate of transportation. The delegation was warmly received by the Head of transportation Arc. Amdii. A. Amdii. 

In a brief yet meaningful conversation, the Faculty President laid before the Head of Transportation the unique challenges that not only student but staff and visitors inclusive face in getting to the faculty of Education. Arc. Amdii's response was positive and uplifting to the student leaders. 

Arc. Amdii briefed the Delegation of the plans on ground which is set to be officially made public in January 2026. While acknowledging the challenges students face, he stated that the university management is fully committed to easing the transportation stress within and between campuses.  

He also made it know that a bus has been assigned to convey students from the Main campus gate to the Faculty of Education, though he categorically stated that this bus will not be domicile at the faculty of Education for the time being. 

At the end of the conversation both parties ended the talk happily with a group photo. 

In the same vein in trying to manage the transportation stress, the president's attention has been drawn to some dubious behavior of keke operators who deliberately refuse to convey students to the Faculty of Education. 

It has been observed that these operators refuse to convey regular students but prefer to serve the newly admitted students who are not familiar with the campus transportation system and regulated prices in order to extort them. 

The delegation then proceeded to the tricycle park at the school gate to challenge the dubious behavior. Speaking at the spot were various members of the Faculty who expressed their displeasure. 

The President clearly warned that if the tricycle operators lack the capacity to serve the whole university community then alternative options will be introduced immediately. 

The tricycle operators Chairman  appealed and promised to investigate the dubious acts erring members and also guaranteed effective service delivery. What started as a heated expression of displeasure later ended with mutual agreement to champion a way forward by both parties.
