The University of Abuja takes Pageantry to a super impressive different level.

On the 11th of December 2025, the University of Abuja Student's Union Government (SUG) hosted a grand style student pageantry on the University main campus, airport Road FCT Abuja, Such that has never been reported to have happened anywhere.

The event which lasted for over 10hours (8pm 11/12/25 - 7:57am 12/12/25) kept audience alive and active till the last minute. 

The event proved that the Comrade Yusuf Tobi Jamiu's led Intellectual Unionism was not just about academics but focuses also on talents, skills, social connections, opportunities and provides an experience that meets all career and professional needs. 

The University of Abuja SUG is well equipped with diverse talented personalities from different disciplines. Amongst them is Ukpia Bethel Okechukwu a 400l student In the Faculty of Arts who is popularly known as MC Toothpick who currently serves as the SUG Director of Socials and Culture. 

MC Toothpick a brand ambassador of Rick Stores Abuja organized and implemented the Mr and Miss UNIABUJA 2025.

The event hosted a population of over 8,000 students including special guests as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ably represented by Hon. Abdulazeez, Mr Ahmed ,Admin at Student Affairs Division ,Comr. TK Wele NANS JCC Chairman, CEOs and Captains of industries. 

As against popularly narrative that the SUG is divided, this event was an avenue to debunk such baseless narrative as the all Members of Executive and Parliament were in attendance playing significant roles. The  SUG Provost, Hon. Bishop pulled up with a team of his committee members who ensure order and calm throughout the event. 

The SUG clerk, Sen. Ade a fast growing entertainer who co-hosted the show. 

The pageantry had a total number of 18 contestants who made it to the final stage. 

In attendance of the 2025 pageant were;

Comr. Abah Goodness Ojonoma- SUG Vice President 

Comr. Atiku Abubakar Bakoji - SUG Director of welfare 

Comr. U. S. A - SUG Director of Transport 

Faculty and Department Presidents and Other Student leaders. 

This event saw the end of the reign of Mr UNIABUJA 2024, king Tobi of the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education who is now the current Mr Institution Nigeria.

Some of the finest and fast rising Stars and entertainers of the university also performed during the event, one of which is Afoh the president of the Faculty of Management Sciences.
