Faculty of Education at it again - Wins 2026 VC Cup.

Vice Chancellor presenting overall best trophy to Faculty of Education's Director of Sports, Dean and Captain.

History has repeated itself again - same teams, same energy, same pitch , same result and under one great indivisible Institution, the great University of Abuja the University for National Unity.

We left a question in the last post here and yesterday that held the answer revealed it at about 6:27pm. It was the finals of male football team Science Vs Education.

The final whistle sounded with a goaless draw showing that both teams played their best trying to net the ball and protect their own nets.

into the penalty shootout, Faculty of Education secured victory with 5:4 against Science.

It was not just about the football yesterday but the 100m,200m and 400m relays for both male and female categories.

4×1 girls relay: Education secured the gold medal 🥇

4×1 relay: Education wins gold 🥇

400m single boys: Education bronze 🥉

400m single girls: Education gold 🥇 and bronze 🥉

100m boys : Education bronze 🥉

Yesterday was a momentous day for the Mother Faculty who confidently maintained their place at the top in the University Sport ranking undefeated.

Abraham Adebayo

Adebayo the nightmare of all goalkeepers clenched the award of most valuable player and highest goal scorer of the tournament.

The 2026 VC Cup was an opportunity for Education to cement their bragging right as Defending Champions.
