Abuja — The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has commenced preparations for its combined 29th and 30th Convocation Ceremonies with the inauguration of the Convocation Ceremonies Committee.

Today, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, formally inaugurated the committee, charging its members to ensure the delivery of a well-organised, dignified, and successful convocation exercise that reflects the University’s academic standards and institutional values.

The committee is chaired by Professor Olanrewaju Aladeitan and is mandated, as part of its terms of reference, to plan and organise befitting ceremonies within the shortest possible time frame. The assignment includes coordinating all logistics and activities required for the smooth conduct of the convocation, which will celebrate the academic achievements of graduands across two academic sessions.

Professor Fawehinmi emphasized the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and efficiency, noting that the convocation presents an opportunity to showcase UniAbuja’s growth, resilience, and commitment to academic excellence.

The inauguration signals the University’s readiness to host graduates, parents, alumni, and distinguished guests for what is expected to be a memorable and impactful convocation ceremony.
