As a leader, Hon. Okeke Ikedichukwu Michael always had a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge. He was fascinated by science and its impact on the world. Little did he know that one day, he would use his love for science to shape the life and culture of the best university in Nigeria, the University of Abuja. Michael's journey began when he joined the prestigious union government with his popular political mantra, science for people. In the union, he's worked tirelessly, experimenting with new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible. He masterminded groundbreaking solutions that revolutionized social and cultural lives of thousands of UofA students.
Now,Big Science has become a leader, with a team of brilliant minds under him. He's used his scientific knowledge to guide his team, always emphasizing the importance of innovation and forward-thinking. Thanks to Big Science's leadership, the UofA is become a global powerhouse and a centre of attraction to many, using science to solve some of the UofA's most pressing issues, depression and boredom in the face of our internal crisis. From Real Warri Pikin et Nasboi to Jersey Carnival, Big science is at the forefront of creating a better today and great tomorrow for UofA culture.
But Big Science's true legacy was not just in the partnership he created, but in the culture he fostered. He encouraged the UofA directorate of social and culture to think outside the box, to challenge the status quo and to never be afraid of failure. And it is this mindset that have led to his greatest achievement yet - a cure for a deadly disease that had plagued UofA students for decades.
Big science's leadership had not only shaped the ministry of Aluta E—an 8 unit course that bona-fide students who must possess the statement of trust from the UofA senate, as worthy graduate in character and in learning must not carry over,but also shaped the worldly saints, O! Saint Michael's.
UofA is certainly proud of St Michael's era, having looked back on our journey to joy, we've realized that it was Big Science's love for science that had guided his every step of the way.
And in the end, Abraham Lincoln once said, it's not the years in our life that count but it's the life in our years, Big Science will be proudly remembered as the leader who used the power of science to make a positive impact on social and cultural life of UofA.
